Biographie

Marius is a lyric tenor, trained in the Italian school. He graduated in Singing at the Swiss Society of Musical Pedagogy and received an award from the State Council of Geneva.

Gifted with exceptional timber and musical precision, he is sought after as a soloist in Switzerland and abroad. His vocal and technical skills allow him to approach opera with ease. He also performs sacred repertoire, recital and operetta.

In opera, he performed several concerts in the framework of the cultural seasons of the cities of Yverdon, Chene-Bourg and Saviese (Switzerland). He he sang under the sponsorship of Banque Piguet. He performed the roles of Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Nemorino (L’Elisir d’amore), Ernesto (Don Pasquale), Edgardo (Lucia di Lamermoor), Il Duca di Mantova (Rigoletto), Alfredo (Traviata), Macduff (Macbeth), Pinkerton (Madame Butterfly) and Hoffman (les Contes d'Hoffmann).

In operetta, he interpreted Max in Un carnaval à Saviese at the Théâtre Le Baladin in Sion and Noël in Le Testament de la Tante Caroline at the Offenbach Music Festival of Saint-Saphorin (Lavaux, Switzerland) as well as at the cultural seasons of « Salon de Genève ».

His sacred repertoire performances include Johannes Passion, the Magnificat and several cantatas of J.-S. Bach, the Messiah of Handel, Die Schöpfung, the Te Deum of J. Haydn, the Requiem, the Kronugsmesse, the Credomesse of W.A. Mozart, the Requiem of Cimarosa, the Stabat Mater of Boccherini and of C. de Grandval, the Petite Messe Solennelle of Rossini, the Mass in B-Flat and the Mass in E Flat of Schubert, the Christmas Oratorio of Saint-Saëns and the Messa di Gloria of Puccini. His repertoire also includes Die Jahreszeiten of Haydn, the Great Mass in C minor of Mozart, the Stabat Mater of Rossini, the Elias of Mendelssohn and the Requiem of Verdi.

He worked under the direction of several directors, including Anthony di Giantomaso, Daniele Anselmi, Anne Casularo, Olivier Piguet, François Roh, Gabriel Garrido, Philipe Krüttli, Malgorzata Digaud, Didier Godel, Rafael Osorio, Jean François Vaney and Jean-Louis Dos Ghali. He performed an exceptional concert with Ivan Rebroff during his farewell tour.

In Switzerland, he performed at the Victoria Hall in Geneva, in the cathedrals of Geneva and Lausanne and in the abbays of Bonmont and Romainmôtier. In France, he performed at the Esplanade du Lac in Divonne and in Annemasse. In Italy, he performed in the Mantua Cathedral, in the Milan Cathedral and at the Curtatone Shrine. In Brazil, he performed at the Azevedo Theatre, in the São Luís Cathedral and in the Ouro Preto Cathedral.

In collaboration with organist Margarita Lazereva, he regularly gives singing and organ's recitals throughout the Suisse Romande. They notably performed at a concert organized for Mr. Leonard Gianadda to celebrate the same name’s foundation 40th anniversary.

He acquired a solid vocal technique with singing master Marie-José d’Alboni and he is regularly accompanied by the pianist Xavier Dami (Grand Théâtre de Genève). He trains in stagecraft with Professor Georges Miazza.
